Younson Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Waterproof Roll is made from thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) synthetic resin as the base material, processed using advanced techniques to form a high-performance sheet-type polymer waterproof material. TPO rolls combine the weathering and aging resistance of EPDM rubber with the weldability of polypropylene. Additionally, they offer chemical resistance, high and low temperature resistance, and dimensional stability. The rolls are installed using hot-air welding, forming a high-strength sealed waterproof layer.
Product Specification Type
- H – Homogeneous type: YWG-610 TPO waterproof roll
- L – Fiber-reinforced backing type: YWG-620 TPO waterproof roll
- P – Fabric internal reinforced type: YWG-630 TPO waterproof roll
Scope of Application
- Mainly suitable for industrial, civil, and public building rooftops and other waterproofing projects.
Product Features
- Excellent weather resistance, strong UV and natural aging resistance, ensuring waterproof performance up to 50 years.
- Plasticizer-free, preventing early aging caused by plasticizer migration, extending roll lifespan.
- Outstanding puncture resistance, especially in fabric-reinforced types.
- Hot-air welding ensures seam bonding strength exceeds that of the roll itself, forming a continuous waterproof layer.
- Excellent low-temperature impact resistance (-50℃), suitable for extremely cold climates.
- Excellent chemical resistance, resistant to acids, alkalis, oils, and degradation by bacteria, fungi, and algae.
- High tear strength and elongation, with strong deformation resistance.
- Environmentally friendly and recyclable.
Executive Standards

- GB/T 35468-2017 《Root-Resistant Waterproof Roll Materials for Green Roofs》
Construction Methods
1. Mechanical Fastening Method
- Substrate preparation
- Install vapor barrier
- Lay insulation boards
- Pre-lay TPO roll
- Mechanically fasten TPO roll
- Hot-air weld overlap zones
- Handle detailed nodes
- Quality inspection
Construction Notes:
- Substrate must be firm, flat, clean, and dry.
- Vapor barrier: loosely lay, overlap taped with double-sided adhesive.
- Insulation boards: staggered layout and mechanically fixed.
- Pre-lay TPO: ensure smooth, straight, no twisting.
- Fasten TPO: mechanically fix pre-laid overlap areas.
- Weld overlaps: clean adjacent roll overlap zones, weld with hand or automatic hot-air gun.
- Detail nodes: treat internal/external corners, pipe edges, and other critical points.
2. Full-Adhesion Method
- Substrate preparation
- Pre-lay TPO roll
- Apply adhesive for main waterproof layer
- Press and remove air
- Quality inspection
Construction Notes:
- Cement concrete substrate must be firm, flat, clean, and dry.
- Pre-lay TPO: smooth and straight, no twisting.
- Apply adhesive: coat substrate and roll bottom surface.
- Pressing: once adhesive is tack-free to touch, lay roll and press to remove air.
Transportation and Storage
- Store different types and specifications separately.
- Avoid sunlight and rain; ensure ventilation.
- Maximum storage temperature: 45℃; store flat, stacking height ≤5 layers.
- Keep away from acids, alkalis, oils, and organic solvents.
- Prevent tilting or lateral pressure during transport; cover if necessary.
- Shelf life: 1 year from the date of production under normal conditions.
