Younson Non-Curing Rubber Asphalt Waterproof Coating is made from high-quality petroleum asphalt, enhanced with functional polymer modifiers and additives, and produced using a special manufacturing process. When hot-applied to the substrate, it rapidly forms a waterproof layer with excellent self-healing, anti-leakage, pressure-sensitive, and creep properties.
This coating can be combined with waterproof rolls to create a composite waterproof system, providing outstanding waterproof performance. It is also suitable for crack repair and sealing.
Product Features
- “Never curing”: Solid content >98%, solvent- and volatile-free, maintaining viscoelasticity throughout use.
- High adhesion: Long-term stickiness, seamless bonding with substrates; suitable for leak repair, compatible with various materials.
- Easy and efficient application: Can be trowel-applied or mechanically sprayed, requiring minimal operator skill, saving time and labor.
- Excellent elongation and creep performance: Adapts to substrate movement and deformation.
Scope of Application
- Suitable for underground structures, flat roofs, subways, tunnels, culverts, roads, and bridges, including waterproofing and leak repair projects.
Executive Standards
- JC/T2428-2017 《Non-Curing Rubber Asphalt Waterproof Coating》
Construction Method
- Substrate preparation: Ensure the substrate is flat, solid, free of dust, loose particles, cement slurry, and standing water. Repair any defects and optionally use an oil-based primer for better adhesion. Allow primer to dry before coating.
- Detail reinforcement: Pre-coat corners, joints, and other critical areas for enhanced protection.
- Spraying or trowel application:
- Melted coating can be sprayed or applied manually.
- Manual trowel: ~120°C; mechanical spray: ~150°C.
- Keep nozzle perpendicular (90°) to substrate and apply evenly.
- Maintain a consistent coating thickness.
- Melted coating can be sprayed or applied manually.
- Laying waterproof rolls: After coating, immediately lay the waterproof rolls to avoid dust or debris affecting adhesion. Seal overlaps manually with the coating.
- Inspection and protection: After construction, protect the waterproof layer from damage.
Transportation and Storage
- Store and transport different product types separately; do not mix.
- Keep away from fire sources, avoid sunlight, rain, and impact, and ensure proper ventilation.
- Storage temperature should not exceed 40°C.
- Under proper conditions, the shelf life is at least 12 months from the production date.
Construction Timing / Usage
- Primary Use: Post-Construction / Repair & Renovation (for leak repair, waterproofing existing structures, and composite waterproof systems)
- Secondary Use: New Construction / Pre-Construction (can be used on new substrates, especially combined with waterproof rolls)
