One-Component Polyurethane Waterproof Coating
The one-component polyurethane waterproof coating is a moisture-curing material. Its film-forming substance is an isocyanate-terminated polyurethane prepolymer, synthesized from polyether polyols and isocyanates, with additives including catalysts, diluents, defoamers, and anti-aging agents.
When applied to a substrate, the prepolymer reacts with moisture in the air, forming urea linkages that crosslink into a durable elastic membrane with excellent waterproof performance.
Product Specification Types

- Easy application: No on-site mixing required.
- Optional colored coating: Can be produced in various colors.
- Non-toxic and odorless: Environmentally friendly material.
Scope of Application
- Suitable for roofs, basements, bathrooms, bridges, cold storage, pools, and other waterproofing and moisture-proof projects.
- Ideal for complex shapes, pipe junctions, and can also be used as an anti-corrosion coating.
Executive Standards
- GB/T 19250-2013 《Polyurethane Waterproof Coating》
Construction Method
- Substrate preparation: Ensure a solid, flat, dust- and oil-free surface. All fixtures, drains, and sanitary equipment must be securely installed with smooth edges.
- Detail reinforcement: Apply additional layers on corners, pipe bases, cracks, and expansion joints.
- Coating application:
- Generally applied 3–4 times, at 2.5–3 kg/m², thickness 1.5–2 mm.
- Optionally, embed glass fiber fabric to increase strength.
- Generally applied 3–4 times, at 2.5–3 kg/m², thickness 1.5–2 mm.
- Waterproof roll application: Lay waterproof rolls and treat overlaps with the coating.
- Inspection and protection: Apply protective layers according to design; restrict access until fully cured.
Construction Tips:
- Ensure ventilation; ambient temperature ≥5°C.
- Avoid construction in rainy conditions.
- Opened packaging should be used entirely; leftover coating must be sealed to prevent curing.
- Repair damaged coating by cutting the affected area and applying the coating.
- Clean tools immediately after use.
- For high-viscosity coating, add a company-recommended diluent only.
- In low temperatures, hot air assistance can be used.
Packaging, Transportation, and Storage
- Packaged in sealed metal or plastic containers with lids.
- Store different types and specifications separately.
- Avoid sunlight, rain, fire, collisions, and ensure ventilation.
- Storage temperature ≤40°C.
- Shelf life: ≥6 months from production date under proper storage and transport conditions.
Construction Timing / Usage
- Primary Use: New Construction / Pre-Construction (applied during building phase for waterproofing roofs, basements, and complex structures)
- Secondary Use: Post-Construction / Repair & Renovation (ideal for repairing leaks, cracks, or reinforcing existing waterproof layers)
